Not worth the read! • • • • • (bewertet mit 1 von 5 Punkten) Alle meine Rezensionen ansehen (REAL NAME) Rezension bezieht sich auf: Pro Spring Dynamic Modules for OSGi Service Platforms (Taschenbuch) Wow, I thought, there is already a book about Spring DM to deepen my knowledge... To make a short story even shorter: I was through with this print in less than two hours and was left feeling I learned almost nothing. For years I am using various Springframework technologies for building rather complex and mission critical applications. And for quite a time I am also into OSGi which is getting more and more attention lately. And rightly so, as I would say. After playing around for a while with Spring DM in a Equinox platform, I was eager to learn how to use it right. But ... The lecture of Pro Spring Dynamic Modules for OSGI(tm) Service Platforms is too shallow concerning Spring DM itself and to verbose on topics which are not remotely interesting to me. I don't care about SpringSource dm Server, nor about web applications or flex. And sorry, 100 out of 392 pages of introduction to Spring and OSGi in addition to 10% to 15% of pages wasted on source code and (Ant) build-script listings along with manifests and context XMLs might not be up to most reader's standards. Sorry, for me this volume doesn't cut it! My advice: Stick to the reference documentation which comes free of charge with the Spring DM distribution. Eine Rezension von Ein Kunde vom 13.
